Bush Theatre, London, UK

about

Haworth Tompkins’ latest project at the Bush Theatre concludes the practice’s gradual transformation of the former public library building for performance use. The scope of new work includes a new accessible entrance, establishing a more distinct public identity for the theatre and connecting the reconfigured interior spaces more directly to the street and garden terrace. The internal additions comprise a new performance studio, enlarged foyer spaces, a rooftop rehearsal room, a new workshop and two dressing rooms.

our role

As Project Director and Project Manager, Plann managed the project on behalf of the client from procurement of the design team through to completion on site. As the Theatre Consultants, Plann were responsible for the technical theatre installations and designed a new flexible modular seating system for the main performance space.
